Description |
AUTHENTICODE focuses on the establishment
of scientifically and technically- based international
standards in the application field of authentication
of movable cultural items. The strategic objective of
the research is the innovative integration of non-invasive
techniques for objective authentication of metal artifacts
(utilitarian and ornamental), based on material composition
& description of manufacturing techniques. This is achieved
by exploiting the most advanced analytical techniques
and by developing & validating portable instrumentation
based on selective composition markers' detection and
characterization of technological fingerprints. |
