The second Arab expert meeting was held from 21/1 till 27/1/2008 to start implementing the recommendation of applying Thesaurus Folklore for documentation purposes, and to start preparing Arab thesaurus folklore. Achievements of the Conference: First: The completion of the second section of the thesaurus folklore. Second: Preparation of the Arab thesaurus folklore. Third: Collect and document 5650 Arabic expressions. Fourth: Future Vision for Arab thesaurus

A Workshop on "Documentation, preservation, and protection of genetic resources, traditional knowledge, and traditional cultural expressions" was held on Monday 26th November 2007 till Thursday 29th November 2007 This important step was taken after the WIPO claim on applying rules to disclose the origin of the genetic resources, traditional knowledge, and traditional cultural expressions in order to protect them from illegal usage.

The conference was held in November 2006, and concluded with several recommendations foremost of which is the start in documenting the Nubian heritage and the work of a cooperation agreement with the Nubian heritage to authenticate.

Thesaurus folklore is the first thesaurus in Arabic language published by CULTNAT. The folklore department launched it by holding an expanded scientific press conference in December 2005.
